Lysefjord Lysefjord is a popular tourist attraction  and day trip by cruise ships from nearby Stavanger. The rock Preikestolen above a vertical drop of 600 meters  is visible from the fjord  and is even more impressive from above. Trolltunga in Norway Trolltunga ( Troll tongue ) is a rock jutting horizontally  from a mountain some 700 metres ( 2,300ft )  above Ringedalsvatnet and to the east of Sørfjorden - a branch of the main Hardanger Fjord.
