The highest mountain in the Hindu Kush Region

 of the Chitral District in northern Pakistan.

Chitral is connected to the rest of Pakistan

 by only two road routes:-

 the Lowari Pass ( 10,230ft ) from Dir

 and the Shandur Top ( 12,200 ft ) from Gilgit.
